Over 300 passionate technology enthusiasts, researchers, and programmers transformed Chișinău into a true innovation laboratory during the third edition of DeepTech GigaHack. From September 12-14, at Tekwill, young innovators worked side-by-side with 27 international mentors, 8 team coaches, and a jury of 26 experts. They responded to challenges in fields like Artificial Intelligence, FinTech, HealthTech, EnergyTech, AgriTech, Cybersecurity, and EduTech, turning bold ideas into functional prototypes in an intense 48-hour rhythm.
The Results: Ideas with the Potential to Transform Industries
A total of 44 teams entered the competition, and 8 of them succeeded in impressing the jury and taking home the title of winners. Here are the winning teams:
DeepTech GigaHack 2025 Winning Teams:
AgriFood Challenge – “Team DUTS”
The team developed a data exchange platform for small businesses in the agricultural sector, predominantly farms, to facilitate rapid access to information and efficient decision-making.

AI Challenge – “Team FalcoNS”
The project combines a deterministic artificial intelligence system that replaces the human parking operator with real-time interaction and automated decisions, while also introducing a LatePay system via QR and messages.
Cybersecurity Challenge – “Team DreamTeam”
The EVO Shield solution they proposed is a privacy-focused cybersecurity module for the EVO app in Moldova, which scans files, links, and QR codes, provides real-time cyber alerts, allows threat reporting, and educates users in simple language without storing personal data.

EnergyTech Challenge – “Team Singularity”
The team created a mobile application that transforms raw consumption data into useful information for users, offering simulations, recommendations, and forecasts based on individual household appliances.
RegTech Challenge – “Team Sudo-ku”
They developed the CyberCare project—a digital platform that helps SMEs in Moldova comply with Cybersecurity Law No. 48/2023, offering risk assessment, synchronization with compliance lists, real-time updates, and modular guidance, thereby strengthening the country’s cyber resilience.

FinTech Challenge – “Team JUAN”
The team developed a document anonymization solution for protecting sensitive data and ensuring legal compliance.
HealthTech Challenge – “Team Viore”
The project combines a complete AI assistant for X-ray analysis, using neural networks for anomaly detection, language models for summaries and diagnostic explanations, and a PDF generation module for clinician-friendly reports.

Open Challenge – “Team Rancho”
The team created DesignerSpace, a platform for designers with an intuitive web interface, where users can browse designs generated by swiping, use web scrapers for local materials, and generate design mockups via AI/API.
Each winning project is not just a prototype but a solution that can be further developed, with the potential to transform key industries: from AI-assisted medical diagnosis, sustainable energy, and cybersecurity, to digitized agriculture and innovative education through games. The winning teams will have the opportunity to continue developing their projects alongside partners, with technical and mentorship support, strengthening Moldova’s tech ecosystem.
Moldova—A Laboratory of Innovation and Technology
DeepTech GigaHack 2025 demonstrated that the Republic of Moldova is not just a participating country on the regional tech scene, but a true laboratory for innovation. Local talent, bold ideas, and close collaboration among teams, mentors, and partners have shown that technological solutions with a real impact on key industries can be developed here.
The winning projects do not stop at the prototype stage—they have the potential to be developed and implemented, influencing fields such as digital health, sustainable energy, cybersecurity, agriculture, and education. Moldova thus solidifies its status as a regional hub for emerging technologies, where creativity and expertise are transformed into concrete solutions for the future.
DeepTech GigaHack 2025 is organized by Technovator, with the support of EU4Innovation East, a regional project funded by the European Union, co-financed by the Government of France, and implemented by Expertise France. Additional key partners include the Ukraine-Moldova American Enterprise Fund (UMAEF), UNDP Moldova, the Government of Italy, and the Innovate Moldova program, which is funded by Sweden. Corporate and institutional partners include Orange Systems, Beden Grup Healthcare Systems, e-Governance Academy (Estonia)—as part of the “Improving Cyber Resilience in Eastern Partnership Countries 2.0” project funded by the European Union—and the EIT Community.
